Stakeholder Analysis

Stakeholder analysis is an important project management and organizational change tool designed to help organizations win engagement and support from all parties involved in a project or organizational change effort.  Good stakeholder analysis will help avoid overt and covert resistance, win support that leads to commitment of time, resources, verbal support, and financial support, and help engage stakeholder skills.  This tutorial explains the four steps of stakeholder analysis:  Identify stakeholders, understand stakeholders, prioritize stakeholders, and manage stakeholders with an engagement strategy and a communication strategy.
